Northern training course.

BIKO held its annual northern training course at the Hoylands Sports Centre, West Street, Hoyland, Nr Barsley, South Yorkshire on Sunday 29th October 06. The course instructors on the day were Kaicho Garth Waldropt 6th Dan, Sensei Elan Adams, Sensei Peter Ashby 5th Dan, Sensei Dale Gamble, Sensei Colin Hanson and Sensei Fay Wheatley 3rd Dan.

This course was attended by thirty students and feedback to the event was very positive. The session started with a warm up, then basic techniques with kihon. Then the class was split into three sections. The instructors rotated amongst the groups, teaching the students various moves, defences and counter-attacks. The course ended with sparring and then a warm down.

A grading followed the training session with students going for 1st Kyu and black belts, 2nd and 3rd Dans. I am delighted to say all students passed their grading. Congratulations once again, well done to them all.
