The British Institute of Karate Organisation (BIKO) hosted the British Open Karate Championships Sunday 14th October 2012, at the Grundy Park Leisure Centre, Herts. The event was a total success with over 500 competitors competing for prestigious trophies.
They travelled with their supporters from all over England Wales and Scotland to make a great atmosphere at the Championships. The event had four matted areas, which the Chief Referee, Dale Gamble ensured that they were in constant use all day. All the competitors and coaches must be congratulated for their continued efforts in attending this event.
The organisers would like to thank all the referees, table officials, medics, coaches, competitors and spectators for their support for the event and hope to see them again at the next BIKO competition.
