3rd Renshinkai Tournament

Renshinkai Karate hosted the 3rd Renshinkai Closed Karate Tournament (RCKT) on Sunday 19th November 2006 at the Thornton Heath Leisure Centre. Over 80 competitors competed at this event, coming from the four main Renshinkai clubs in Beckenham, East London, Streatham and Thornton Heath. Feelings and emotions ran very high and the competitors produced their best on the day.
The standard of the both kata and kumite has got even better and team kata and kumite were introduced.

Renshinkai Karate aims to promote events to continually develop the skills of students of all grades and give them the opportunity to display their skills to a large audience. Beckenham Renshin certainly showed their skills on the tatami (mat). But we must not forget all the competitors who took part and congratulations must go to all of them.

Renshinkai means Strength in Unity. The style must continue to grow and develop all its students especially from the grass roots level, because that is where our champions of the future will come from. Students should be able to train at any Renshinkai club for extra training.
