| BIKO ANNUAL DINNER, DANCE & AWARDS The Royal National Hotel : Russell Sq, London 4th December 2004 Biko ended 2004 calendar with its first Christmas Dinner / Dance and Presentations. This was held At The Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, Russell Square, London. The event, although a small affair, brought together 65 people, the Executive and their partners, plus many senior grades and students from the grassroots. The Chair of Biko, Ken Henville and Chief Instructor, Garth Waldropt made presentations to, The Student of the year, which went to Keith Taylor from Cambridge and Instructor of the Year, Colin Hanson from Kirkburton. There were four Special Awards and they went to Richard Baker, Alvin Walters, Leon Walters and Alan Beale. There were two Dan Grade promotions, Wayne Hoyland and Owen Robinson were both promoted to 4th Dan, unfortunatly neither of them could attend on the evening to collect these awards personally. With all the awards over everyone had the opportunity to dance the night away. Plans are now afoot to make next year’s dinner and dance an even more memorable occasion.
